Yesterday was Valentines Day and usually I follow my time tested “Gift For Females Guide” of buying gifts for my honey:

I mean, if you stop and really think about it, if your gift falls under the above categories, you’ve made a slam dunk!! Imagine if you find a gift with all three!! Boom shakalaka!
But this year, I decided to go outside my trusted guidelines into unchartered territory. I decided to design something for my wife that meant sometime to her.
A few weeks back, my wife and I were invited to sing at a Valentines Dinner just last night. We have never sung together on a Vday and it was fun to spend the night making memories for ourselves and others as the crowd of 40+ listened on. In her mind, I had already given her all of her Valentine Day’s gifts earlier that day.
But during one of the breaks, I decided to spring a surprise on her, a time when she would expect it the least. I had someone from the cafe bring out the printed canvas with the “Love Each Other Deeply” design. She loved it! Did I mention that the grey colors match our bedroom walls? …Score!
All in all, it was a great Valentines Day for the Kidwell’s this year.
